The hotel & snorkeling was as great as every review I had read indicated. BUT if you've been reading all those reviews like I did that state "the hotel upgraded our room to an ocean view" then you just may be very disappointed when it does not happen for you. In addition, even though I had called the hotel directly to request a King bed (months in advance) this did not happen either. There were no apologies, no upgrades, but they did have a king bed open for an extra $* per night (since it was ocean view). In addition, my husband & I both received bites which we suspect might have been bed bugs. We did not report this since upon arrival t staff seemed to have an uncaring sort of attitude. We didn't even get a simple "Happy Anniversary". Hands down the VERY best thing that happened during our trip was finding Mama's Fish House Restaurant----go there!

We just got back from our eight-day stay at the Sheraton Maui Resort and Spa and I have to say that it was the best stay I have ever had anywhere. The grounds are absolutely stunning and the Sheraton is plopped right on Black Rock, which the locals will tell you is a prime snorkeling spot. Unlike the surrounding beaches, you are pretty much guaranteed to see turtles there - and it's right out in front of the hotel. The beach is amazing, the pool is literally the best on the strip of resorts, and the staff are all friendly and welcoming. I absolutely loved it! It was a dream and we are already looking to go back in a few months. Absolutely worth every penny!!

We recently visited the Sheaton Naui Resort and Spa. Had a great vacation. Stayed in the 6th building which was somewhat of a walk from other areas of the hotel, however, we had fantastic views of blackrock, whales and turtles. Our room was very clean and we found that all staff were friendly. The only dislike was the pricey food at the poolside bars. We recommend you take advantage of the happy hour specials. The snorkeling at blackrock was great. Even our teenage kids enjoyed it. felt the price to rent equipment onsite was high considering you could go just down the road for a much better price. Overall, great proerty and great vacation.. we would choose the sheraton again.

Upon arrival we got a complimentary room upgrade to an "ocean view" room. Our room had a beautiful view of the ocean, and it was very quiet. The grounds were kept immaculate and every staff member we encountered was friendly and helpful. They really wanted you to enjoy your stay there. We ate at the restaurants and outdoor pool bars, and the food was also very good. The free shuttle to Lahaina was clean, comfortable and very convenient. The gift shop on site also had a large variety of items to choose from. My 18 year old daughter did the snorkle/scuba lesson that the hotel offered, and it was just great! Our flight stateside wasn't until the evening and they offered you a pass card to use the hotel fitness center to shower at the end of the day. I would go back to this hotel in a minute and would recommend it to anyone going to Maui!
